About me
First of all, I’m a male.
Introduced to manga (dragon ball, iirc) at an early age, it’s not until 2001 when I began to read scanlated mangas (the first was Meitantei Conan). Currently I lost count to the titles I’ve read and the scanlated material I’ve collected have amassed ~150GiB (thank you all scanlators).
The types of manga I enjoy are mystery, mystic, adventure, fantasy, horror, comedy, slice of life, and school life (mostly those come from seinen mangas).
I’ve also watched anime since I was small (but I can’t recall what was the title of the first one I watched) but all of those are inferior dubbed/vcd quality and not until I got my broadband connection I started to watch the ‘real’ anime (the first title I dl’d off the net was Chobits, ripped by KAA in WMV9 format). However, due to time constraints I have very little time to watch anime. I still have 200+GiB worth of unwatched anime. Usually I enjoy mystic, adventure, fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, and comedy typed titles, much like my type towards mangas.
When I have some free time I also enjoy playing japanese games like Touhou and reading (translated) graphic novels.
Lastly, as can be inferred from those above, I’m not that savvy with the Japanese language itself. While I can read/write hiragana+katakana, I only understand simple statements and can only read basic/frequent appearing Kanjis.
And on a side note, my friends gave me the otaku title mainly because my foobar2k’s playlist are playing japanese songs >_> (and as you might have guessed, most of them are anime soundtracks
)
About the blog
I only intended to use this blog to note the titles I’ve read/watched and perhaps I’ll make a wiki to store some interesting informations I’ve found (like those parodies in Hayate no Gotoku or trivial things like how many times the word “Gao” appear in AIR TV). If you somehow find my blog useful, you’re very welcome to have read it XD.
